The Osterfreizeit Camps
over 25 years of Waldorf Camp experience
The Osterfreizeit camps have been established in 1984 in Germany and Switzerland by a small group of people and became a movement that has been growing ever since. Oster-freizeit Camps are the European cradle for the Waldorf Camps movement worldwide. Oster-freizeit camps provide children with high quality care during their holidays. Using all the principles of Waldorf education, young and motivated teachers and professionals teach the kids how to ski and snowboard during winter vacations, and outdoor activities during sum-mer vacations. Moreover, our teachers provide them with many more skills like theater act-ing, camera acting, drawing, painting and other crafts. A typical camp lasts two weeks and the children and young adults live in houses set among the beautiful backdrop of the Swiss Alps, high up in the mountains, surrounded by pristine nature. Besides the unique care, which the children receive, the focus of Osterfreizeit camps lays on teaching the children so-cial responsibility and advanced communication skills within the group and community. The children learn how to resolve conflict situations and how to responsibly act as a member of the group. For more information see www.osterfreizeit.de
